Firmness on the Haqq

A man of Allah should never buckle under the unjust and oppressive pressure which his wife or even mother may apply in a bid to gain compliance for their haraam desires.

Hadhrat Sa’d ( radhiyallahu anhu) who was a senior Sahaabi was most obedient and kind to his mother. He was always engaged in serving his mother. When he embraced Islam, his mother became extremely annoyed with him. She threatened to commit suicide by starvation if he does not abandon Islam. She told him that if she had to die in this manner, all people will attribute her death to him. He will be seen as the cause of his mother’s death.

When Hadhrat Sa'd (radhiyallahu anhu) refused to heed her command, she commenced her hunger strike. on the second day of her hunger strike, Hadhrat Sa'd (radhiyallahu anhu) said to his mother:

"O mother! Even if you have a hundred lives and give up one life at a time until all the hundred lives have died (in your effort to get me to abandon Islam) I shall never abandon it."

When his mother realized his firmness and the futility of her act, she abandoned her hunger strike.

  1. “A man of Allah should never buckle under the unjust and oppressive pressure which his wife or even mother may apply in a bid to gain compliance for their haraam desires.”

Why is this geared towards women specifically?
When I read stuff from the majlis, I feel like women are evil..

  2. well, this is specific, though the title isn’t. i’m sorry, but the Majlis is directing this for only the men that they are acknowledging. Also these statements are constructed and directed to those in a full islamic enviorment. We however aren’t, we are in a different enviorment, one of kufr, in the US, its totally hard to look from another person’s perspective. If we were there, then we’d understand. May ALLAH make us all understand. Ameen.

  3. The ink of a scholar is holier than the blood of a martyr. We love the majlis because no one speaks the haq like them.

We are soo mucn in darkness that the light seems ajeeb (weird) to us. We are soo much involved in falsehood that when the truth is shown to us, it appears strange to us.

May Allah keep the blessed Sholars of the Majlis shadow over us. Long live the Majlis!!!

  4. SubhanALLAH! Exactly

  5. Mashallah, May Allah keep the guidance of the ulema over us because we the muslim nation really need guidance from them, in this day and age. We are surrounded by kufr, somebody should be there to show us the path, of the righteous.
